I'm sorry if that's been on here already, but I just wanted to ask if these guys were actually a Vegan band? Also is there anything else apart from "Blood of Ages" and "Domain"? I just remember them from more official metal scene (interview in Metal Hammer etc.) and never really found any other info on them.

Above All were not a vegan band though all members were either vegan or vegetarian. All were edge.
Above All were also previously known as Stand Off who released a 7" on Crucial Response. They were more on a Resurrection tip then. Good record.

Just put up Blood of Ages track on Surehand myspace site. Though I've taken it off the vinyl.... I have the DAT tape which I will copy sometime in the future. They also recorded another track at the same time as the 3 on the EP and this was released as a 1 track flexi with the zine that I did at the time called How We Rock.

They recorded another demo after the LP on Roadrunner though my copy has chewed up. It was pretty good though heading more into a Fear Factory style thing.

I have the Blood Of Ages 7" and the track Savior as MP3's but they're on another computer 200 miles away. If nobody has upped them within the next month I'll see what I can do.

The 7" is absolutely fucking raging. Definitely one of my favourite UK releases ever.

Wasn't feeling the Roadrunner album - too overproduced, but I do rock a RR era Above All t-shirt because my older Above All shirt has fallen to pieces.

The real icing on the cake would be someone stumbling across the video of them performing Prison live in the Headbangers Ball studio.

If anyone has that shit and can rip it to Youtube I will suck you off for a month.

This band was on Roadrunner Records?
Sounds good, for what I listened on their Myspace.

Dont know who did either of those pages. Maybe ex-members of each band......?

The LP didnt do it for me either, too polished. Ex members turned up in a band that did a mcd on Ian Glasper from stampin ground's label. They were called Light of The Monrning. Never heard it though.

Light Of The Morning was atrocious.

I have the CD if anyone is interested in it?

You mean How We Rock? I've got a copy that zine lurking somewhere at my parent's house; I think I saw an advert in the back of Terrorizer & wrote to you requesting a copy. This was my first exposure to the hardcore scene; the first time I'd ever come across the concept of vegan straightedge or heard of bands like Earth Crisis - it definitely opened my eyes.

That track on the flexi was amazing; I remember being really disappointed by how pedestrian the Roadrunner material was in comparision.

I disagree with any of the above contributors dislike of Above All's album 'Domain' and consider it probably the best UK SxE album ever. The production isn't 'polished' - it is simply clear and crisp, while the playing is still stripped and minimal in a way that makes it much more unique than other metalcore albums of the time. While primitive, it's full of subtle invention, for example the inverted hi-hat rhythms used in a couple of songs. I urge you to revisit this album

How about a re-upload of the 7" and flexi and this Roadrunner disc? I just got a copy of the 7", but would love accompanying Mp3s and of that flexi.

Thanks for the YouTube upload.
