True statement.

Real shame I never got to see them, since they never played in the south of England....Demo and split 7" rule.

I thought they played Bristol a couple of times?

Powerviolence from Liverpool UK. Not overly political but contains one Vegan and two Veggies (I'm working on them ;))

I like the sound. The rhythm section is quite hard-hitting.

Millions of Them
This is my own band. First recordings. All 4 veggies, but only 2 that are edge.
Lyrics deal with a down throdden, negative world view.
We recorded locally, got it mixed at God City and mastered by Bonati.
We've got a full-length recorded and are looking for a label:

Some mexican bands that were crucial for me in this year.

Us Against the World - Veggie/Vegan punkrock from México City. Sounds a little bit like AFI, early Saves the Day, and they are awesome live.
http://www.myspace.com/uatwband

Lng/SHT - Self proclaimed hip hop for punk rockers from Benito Juárez, QR aka Can Cun. Not vegan, not edge, barely politcal but fun as fuck,. His lyrics are honest and very, very sarcastic at some point. Probably someone outside the mexican "scene" will not understand most of them, but it is what i'm listening now. Also, he's a very good friend.
http://www.myspace.com/lngsht

Picking Up The Pieces - Posi HC from México City. I'm not too much into it, but they are my friends and their new record sounds good. A little bit like Gorilla Biscuits, Battery, Champion, as reviewed on a local blog.
http://www.myspace.com/putp

Maladie - Veggie/Vegan SxE/drug free hc/crust/screamo from Tijuana. Fast and powerful. Awesome lyrics. Reminds me to Catharsis and some spanish bands like Ictus or early Ekkaia. They've done some west coast tours in the U$ and one Mexican tour.
http://www.myspace.com/maladiemaladie

Our Bastard Existence - Passionate punk they say, crust/screamo I say. Side (or main?) project from Libérate's guitarist. They've just released their debut cd. On the line of Crimethinc's bands.
http://www.myspace.com/ourbastardexistence

Satie - From Tijuana as well, it is a exotic kind of screamo. With awesome intrumental parts and lots of feeling. They toured with Maladie in summer. Awesome people on both bands I must say.
http://www.myspace.com/satie666

and, that's it for now.

For those interested.
I posted about my band some time ago in THIS thread and now Adagio830 Records takes pre-orders for our debut 12". How things can turn out, huh!?

Quote:
This is the pre order version of the MILLIONS OF THEM debut LP on YELLOW vinyl - limited to 100 copies

What can I say - MILLIONS OF THEM from Belgium are one of the most intense bands out of europe that I had the pleasure to hear and see live. MILLIONS OF THEM play angry heavy hardcore that reminds me on all those end 90ies hardcore bands like BOTCH, meets NINE IRON SPITFIRE etc.. Brutal, heartfelt and dirty.

The debut record (with people that played in AM I DEAD YET) comebines noise, chaos, and unbridled anger in 10 songs. The record got mastered at Bonati is pressed on heavy vinyl and packed in 350gramm sleeves. Its one of the most heaviest records we released in a while on ADAGIO830.

Bihants - Power violence from México City. BTW, is that french, german or something?, I don't understand the name. http://www.myspace.com/bihants

Garrick - Passionate political screamo from Colima, México. http://www.myspace.com/garrickmx

Clamant! - The new name for Our Bastard Existence. They realized their name was oximoron and also they didn't feel identified with it anymore. They now play emo/screamo, envy meets suis la lune. They will release a split with Gattaca (ex-lakmé) from Czech Republic and hopefully tour with Libérate in June/July. My new favorite band. http://www.myspace.com/ourbastardexistence

El Arma es la Palabra uploaded new songs. Check them out

STARVE is a new band from the Netherlands, influenced by Iron Monkey, Eyehategod and all the filth, despair, injustice, fear and greed that this world is rich.

STARVE supports a vegan lifestyle.
