I think eXc's new album is pretty good.some new heaviness with bass/etc.
I have not heard the 7" songs though.
Lyrics are pretty strong as well.

I couldn't count 5 vsXe bands I know of.I'll have to check the ones mentioned.it's all oldies on replay.

Punch aren't all Edge, but they are an all Vegan (mostly Edge) band.

Yeah, Noose is killing it for me. Can't wait to hear a new record from that band!

New Earth Crisis LP is pretty damn good, a few songs that I think are kind of filler..but whatever, it's got some pretty tight tracks.

Black Kites are one of my favourite all Vegan/Edge bands right now. And my band Out of Sight (HARDY HAR HAR).

I absolutely DIG the Band of Mercy "Vegan power", 7". Both because of its uncompromising attitude (which is something I tend to like in different circumstances), its humour ("Touch of mercy"), and the music itself. What's funny though is that most Swedes will probably smile at the melodic guitar parts, as they sound A LOT like a typical feature in the most terrible Swedish white power music.

But yeah, that's one solid EP.

Come to think of it, I just asumed BOM are a straight edge band, but I don't really know that for a fact. If they're not, please pardon my mentioning of them in this thread.

I just assumed BOM were a straight edge band too haha. I really like that 7". It's not exactly the best record ever but it's fun and although it's about serious issues they clearly don't take themselves too seriously.

Poison Planet and Noose would have to be my current favorites though. I finally got around to ordering the Not Sorry 7"s the other day, really like the demo, not sure if they're vegan though. Kind of seems like they might be.

The Unrest tape is pretty damn solid too. I look forward to hearing more from them.

Poison Planet were brilliant in Sweden, can't say enough good stuff about those guys. Noose's "hang em if they're high" tour shirt must be given some applause too.

When FB came they all claimed to be vegan and sxe. Actually there was this guy that had the same neck tattoo as Chris and Tim 7G.
I still wouldn't count FB as a xvx band as they never had lyrics about it... just a generic tough guy band with vegan/sxe members.

I felt very cool from Karl when he told all the toughies here that they should be ashamed for jeering while we played.

· I'd say Unveil and Aspire (if they are xvx) are my favorite current xvx bands.

The only time trial were an all vegan edge band was around the time Foundation EP came out, i asked greg about them for the distro, he said when recording this EP is the only time the entire band was vegan straight-edge.

Mid 90s influenced stuff. Set Adrift. from russia are 4/5 vegan edge and 1/5 vegetarian edge... so pretty close. Chugging 90s hxc for anyone who likes the older posts on xstuck in the pastx or onexpath orrrr a guy from the band runs xone truthx blogspot and records.

I'm pretty sure Set Adrift are from Ukraine; but yeah, their new 7inch is really good!

Personally I'd go for Unveil and Anchor. Wolf Down sounds promising too. The Unrest tape is good as well. I'm not as crazy about Noose as most people seem to be but that's just me, I'm waiting to see what their debut EP will be like, I've been told it's mind-blowing.

What happened to Content and Shallow Breath? I liked their stuff a lot.

There is like a zillion vXe bands in South America, was watching some of them on youtube, every other has vegan straight edge all over, mostly metalcore, though.

Contend pretty much dropped off the map from what i can tell.

the last info i saw from them was on their MySpace:

Quote:
indefinite hiatus: a clarification

contend will be recording a new EP sometime late winter/early spring that we intend on putting out ourselves (7 inch vinyl). we will not, however, be playing any shows/doing any tours following its release.

we thank you all for your support.

don't know about Shallow Breath - what about Unrest? i thought they were pretty sweet.
